Vichara QDA

Qualitative analysis,
made simple and powerful

Vichara QDA helps researchers, students and professionals turn interviews, focus groups and field notes into insight: code text, build a codebook, write memos, and run advanced analyses. A friendly alternative to NVivo.

Everything you need to analyse text

From first read to final report: one clean workspace.

Import anything

Bring in .txt and Word (.docx) transcripts, or paste text directly. Tag each document with case attributes.

Rich codebook

Build hierarchical, colour-coded codes with coding rules. Merge, restructure and refine as your understanding grows.

Effortless coding

Select a passage and apply a code in one click. Supports overlapping codes and in-vivo coding from the participant's own words.

Advanced analysis

Code frequencies, co-occurrence, cross-tab matrices and word-frequency, plus auto-suggested codes and themes.

Analytic memos

Capture hunches and emerging theory, linked to the documents and codes they belong to.

Export & report

Editable Word or PDF reports, publication-quality charts, CSVs for Excel, SPSS and R, and full project backup.

From transcript to insight in four steps

A workflow that stays out of your way.

1

Import

Add your transcripts and describe each case.

2

Code

Highlight meaning and build your codebook as you read.

3

Analyse

Explore patterns with the built-in analysis engine.

4

Report

Export findings, tables and a shareable report.

Your data, your control

Your research data (documents, codes and memos) lives privately in your own browser and is never uploaded. Your account holds only your profile (name, email, institution) so you can sign in. When you run an analysis, only the values needed for that calculation are processed in memory by the Vichara engine and immediately discarded: nothing is retained, logged or shared.
